What is Our Country Comming To?

Sad. So sad. That is about all that I can say on this one. One student actually admitted that he is a socialist and his reason for proposing the ban.

"That ('under God') part is sort of offensive to me," student trustee Jason Bell, who proposed the ban, told Reuters. "I am an atheist and a socialist, and if you know your history, you know that 'under God' was inserted during the McCarthy era and was directly designed to destroy my ideology."

Most people are subtle about their socialistic motivation. Jason is not. This demonstrates that motivation for similar acts is founded in socialism.

I have to say, I took a "political compass" test the other day and it said I am a socialist / green / anarchist. Whew. I had never heard much about socialism so I decided to research it. I am pleased and relieved to announce I am NOT a socialist, nor am I "green" NOR am I an anarchist. The "test" was heavily weighed.

I finally took another, more complexe quiz sent by a friend and am quite happy to announce I am a conservative Democrat. That's probably not the case either, but I'll go with that for now.

This nation was built on a foundation of ethics which included GOD. My daughter will continue to say the Pledge of Allegience "UNDER GOD".

I am offended by other's off-handed ideologies that attempt to undermine the foundational ethics of this country. I'm all for the freedoms, but those freedoms are provided as a whole package. You don't get to pick and choose and misrepresent the ones you have. There are limits. Love it or leave it, I say.

I happen to love it and anyone who tests that will hear it loud and clear.
