Thoughts on Veterans Day

To all veterans past and present, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.

My Grandfather was a combat engineer in China, Burma, India on the Burma Road during WWII. I never had the opportunity to talk with him, but I know that my father and his brothers and their mom loved him deeply. Thanks Grandpa.

My Wife's Grandpa was a Staff Sergeant with the 3rd Armored Reconnaissance Squadron. I had the honor of meeting him once before he passed in 2003.

I am honored to join their ranks as a veteran.

The Navy also has veterans--Julia's grandfather served as a Medical Corpsman from 1946-48 and as a Navy Chaplain on active duty for 13 years. Including reserve time, he served his country in the Navy for over 40 years.
